Prodotto veramente valido.

New pedals, new shoes, let’s go! I twist my heal to the outside and they come off.I’m very happy.

I recently broke my Brompton folding pedal, and it’s an expensive thing to replace. I had always considered SPDs for my Brompton but thought I’d miss the folding pedal too much. I have now used these daily for the last 2months (13miles per day) and they are brilliant.I have always bought Shimano kit but usually the expensive top end stuff for racing groupsets, but this buget end I am very impressed with. Yes it hasn’t got the high quality material finish that the Deore XT or XTR offer, but for the price and solid feeling the pedal provides I am so very impressed with the engineering. Living with the pedal every day has been a joy, the cleat connecting to the pedal is solid and gives a felling of confidence. I get the shoe in first time nearly every time, so as a London commuter off the lights first on my Brompton every time and back into my flow and spin very quickly. Allows you to focus so much more on your rotations and pace, I should have bought them years ago!As for the width casing issues when folded, well it does sticks out an additional 50mm to the original folding pedal when folded which could cause issues for some folk. Providing I always now consider the outward facing pedal when the bike is folded to be as low down as possible then it’s not an issue. It still fits in between train seats but I have to think a bit more when carrying it around in a folded state.Overall I am really pleased with this as a solution. The shoes I bought with to work with these pedals are the Muddyfox Tour200 (the waterproof ones) of all places Sports Direct in store (sorry Amazon) so I was able to try them on, always get at least 1 to 1.5 additional on size… very snug. Both things work great together, easy to setup and if you have used clipless pedals before they work as expected. For folk who haven’t tried SPDs before it might take a bit of time and practice, but well worth it from the efficiency and safety this will provide in the long run.

Since getting into cycling more seriously around 3 years ago going clipless was one of my first “upgrades” and should be any cyclists. The power transfer increase is simply incredible and I don’t actually like riding without cleats even though on my commuter bike I have these dual sided pedals Shimano Pdm324 Single Sided SpdThe advantage of SPD over SPD – SL and other cleats is that as these are designed for MTB generally the cleats on the shoes are recessed meaning you can wear more “normal” looking shoes and also walk properly and not risk scratching up floors. When I 1st bought them they averaged at around £24 but that has now come down to around £17.50. Please beware that Shimano ALWAYS ship these shoes WITH cleats. I know this as I have bought these unboxed but factory sealed and the cleats are in there! See pic.===== Unfortunately there are some unscrupulous sellers, especially on Ebay, who take the cleats out and sell them separately so make sure you read the small print – they certainly don’t put it in the title! An ABSOLUTE unscrupulous seller on Ebay sells the pedals ONLY for £15.95 takes the cleats out and sells them for £7.25 so they get £23.20 for the same set that are sold by honest sellers for around £17.49 complete delivered. ========Very easy to clip in and out of. Took me all of about 5 minutes. Great pedals – make sure you grease them before installing Weldtite Grease Tube 40g and periodically clean and lube them with something like GT45.* Ideally you need a pedal spanner to fit these – they can be picked up for around £5. Also when you are fitting or removing the drive (right) hand pedal it is good practice to put the chain in the largest front chainring. This is so that if you slip you do not gauge your hand or arm on the sharp chainrings!** They are labelled L & R on the black bit next to the thread and also underneath the cleats. Remember that the Right hand thread is normal so you screw it in clockwise. Left hand the thread is reversed so you screw in ANTI-CLOCKWISE*** You can also get platform adaptors for these which many aren’t aware of that make one side “flat”. See pic. The last time I bought from a big online Cycle store I got these thrown in which was a bonus at £17.49. These platforms alone cost around £12. In the pic this pair came unboxed but with everything shown – I have just put them in a spare box I had from an old pair.
