Garmin have really gone to the extreme with the eTrex Touch 35 to give it a screen that is user friendly in whatever environment you happen to be in. The screen is a substantial 2.6 inches, fully touch screen, and comes with colour display. The screen has also been specially designed so that it is fully readable even when in direct sunlight. The screen is also built to withstand dust, dirt, humidity, and water.
Navigation
The eTrex 35 includes both GPS and GLONASS compatibility to ensure that wherever you are in the world you can be picked up. The computer also comes with a built-in 3-axis tilt-compensated electronic compass which will show your heading even when you’re standing still, and you don’t hold it level. Also includes a barometric altimeter that will help you track changing weather conditions.
Transport
The eTrex 35 isn’t just for use when on foot – this computer can also be used while cycling, sailing a boat, or in a car. If you’re on the road then you can use the auto-mount capability and then experience the eTrex 35’s turn by turn driving/ cycling instructions.
Connectivity
You can sync your eTrex 35 to your smartphone to receive notifications such as texts, phone calls, emails, or social media notifications. You can also connect the device to the WIFI to download additional TOPO maps, BlueChart g2, and BirdsEye Satellite Imagery – which allows you to download extra maps and routes straight onto your GPS computer.
Planning
Using the eTrex 35 you can plan out your trips by letting you organise maps, waypoints, routes and tracks.
