The computer has been streamlined down from its predecessors to provide a more compact design that won’t take up as much room or weight on your handlebars. Yet the computer’s screen size hasn’t been compromised and is an impressive 1.8inches in diameter with an impressive level of clarity even when in direct sunlight. Navigation
Using a combination of GPS, GLONASS and Galileo satellites with an in-built altimeter provides you with accurate navigational information wherever you are on the globe. The computer offers lots of different ways to help you navigate your ride whether you’re on or off road. There is a breadcrumb map view that will track your ride so you never get lost and can always make a return journey. You can also create your own routes and use turn by turn navigation which allows you to focus on the riding itself letting the computer guide you.
Tracking
The use of three different types of satellite and integrated altimeter doesn’t just stop at navigation. The cycling computer also uses the three sensors to keep track of all your movements and will let you know how far, fast, hard and high you’re riding. This allows you to follow your progress and helps push you towards your goals.
Connectivity
For even further options and features the Edge 130 comes with a boundless supply of connectivity options. By syncing the cycling computer to your smartphone or tablet device you can access Garmin Connect and Strava Live Segments to track and share your ride performance. You can also use this connection to receive your phone’s notifications straight to your cycling computer so your ride never gets distracted.
