The Fenix 5S has pushed your options to the extreme with multiple different designs and sizes to choose from. With various sizes available whether you’re extra small or extra-large there will be a watch that can fit you. The watches come with a stylish stainless steel watch face although there are multiple different colours options to choose from. The watchbands can be changed quickly and easily with QuickFit technology. The range of QuickFit watchbands is also extensive ranging from silicone, to leather and metal. This level of variety means that you can constantly add to your Fenix 5S kit allowing you to choose a different style dependent on your current activity or environment.
Monitor
This watch has multiple modes and functions to help you keep track, and analyse your training. With the new Training Status feature you can monitor your performance and the watch will automatically evaluates your latest efforts with your exercise history to give you a thorough and in-depth look at how productive your workouts are. The watch will monitor your training via things such as cadence, stride length, ground contact time and balance, vertical oscillation and vertical ratio.
Multiple Sports Modes
The watch covers a ridiculously large range of sports including things like, swimming, skiing, golfing, paddle sports, rowing, cycling, running, gym work outs etc. You can extend the list of sport modes by connecting your watch to the Garmin Connect App. The modes each have specific tailor made settings that record your training differently. For example the swimming mode will let you keep track of your stroke count, stroke rate, and even distance per stroke. Golf mode gives you yardage to the front back and the middle of the green. Skiing and snowboarding modes gives you information on your speed, distance, vertical drop and has an automatic run counter and more.
Navigation
The Fenix 5S comes with inbuilt GPS and ABC which provides comprehensive navigation and tracking. The built-in altimeter provides elevation data and the barometer can be used to predict weather changes by showing short-term trends in air pressure. Also comes with a 3-axis electronic compass that will help you keep your bearings wherever you end up.
